I SOLISTI is an ensemble and music production company with a focus on wind instruments. Our work is centred on repertoire and new works, adventurous projects in the fields of opera and musical theatre, and the identification and development of young talent.

Our starting point is always the fundamental idea of exploring, validating, preserving, renewing and promoting – both nationally and internationally – the rich and varied wind instrument idiom from Mozart to the present day. We achieve this through two core activities: producing adventurous performances and, through our ACADEMY program, mentoring young talents and creators who wish to help promote or renew the wind instrument idiom and become its ambassadors.

Under the leadership of its founder and artistic director, Francis Pollet, I SOLISTI has, over the past decades, transformed itself from a traditional wind octet into an internationally renowned ensemble and music production company with a distinct focus on wind instruments.

Conceptual and dramaturgical thinking go hand in hand with compelling performances by top musicians. Nurturing and developing young talent, and realising adventurous creations and collaborations, form an essential part of I SOLISTI’s DNA.

With a core group of around 20 top musicians and drawing on 250 years of wind music, I SOLISTI presents a colourful palette of chamber music and impressive masterpieces, new works, opera and musical theatre for young and old alike.

In addition, the ensemble nurtures young talent and emerging artists through the I SOLISTI ACADEMY. With DE SINGEL as its home base, I SOLISTI occupies a unique position in the Belgian music scene.

I SOLISTI receives structural support from the Flemish Government.
