Marcel Degotte grew up in a creative family and discovered his passion for the trumpet thanks to the iconic trumpet solo from Disney’s The Aristocats. He completed his Master’s degree in classical trumpet at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels under Manu Mellaerts.
He has been working as a professional musician since the age of twenty and has performed with ensembles such as the Jeugdorkest Vlaanderen, De Munt and the Brussels Philharmonic. Alongside his classical practice, he is developing a versatile artistic career in theatre, film and experimental music. He has composed for Les Bêtises de Violette, performed in the award-winning film La Danse des Renards and is working on new projects involving tap dancing, drums and musical theatre. Next season, he will be collaborating on Fabrizio Cassol’s new production, inspired by Othello.
